NLP AND MENTAL TRAINING

The CD contains two tracks. Track 1 is a track with noise and sounds, while track 2 starts with birdsong. The noise and sounds in track 1 are intended to illustrate the society and reality we live in. By starting with the sounds, you experience even more clearly the peace and tranquillity that comes with relaxation.

THE MUSIC

In 2003, composers Kaså and Lord were commissioned to compose music based on the golden ratio (known as the ”section divine”). The reason for this was that L-E Uneståhl, together with a Russian research team, discovered that mental space changes the way the brain works (the ratio between different EEG frequencies) in the direction of the golden ratio. Since the golden ratio has represented the concepts of beauty, balance and harmony since the dawn of humanity, brain activity in the mental space has come to be known as the ”second harmonic brain”. In the autumn of 2004, the first two compositions were completed. One has been used in Lars-Eric Uneståhl's CD ”Divine" and the other composition is used as background music on this CD. Initial tests indicate that the music helps to create a harmonious state.

PROGRAMME CONTENT

The mental space

The programme begins with muscular and mental relaxation techniques that guide participants into a state of deep relaxation, where they pause and build their ”mental space” (MS). MS is an operational definition of a self-hypnotic state, where the mental processes that are created have a strong impact on both the body and the mind. The mental space therefore forms an important basis for the personal development techniques that follow in the programme.

I reinforcement

In the mental space, images and experiences can be ”stored” that lead to a positive development of the self-image, both in terms of self-confidence and self-esteem. The self-image cannot be changed through logical arguments, but rather through self-empowering suggestions and images conveyed in an alternative state of consciousness (the mental space), where the information process takes place in a qualitatively different way. In this self-hypnotic state, the difference between inner images and reality is blurred in the same way as in a dream. The new, positive and strong self-image emerges and becomes integrated into the personality in a natural way.

Two NLP features

The mental space and techniques for self-reinforcement are taken from mental training. In addition, there are two techniques from the NLP model.

Neurological levels

The technique was developed by Robert Dillts and is a useful tool in both conflict situations and in the work of ”creating your own future”. By setting clear goals, resolving inner conflicts and managing personal changes, congruence increases. Striving to become congruent at every neurological level leads to an increase in resources and energy savings. The process provides a useful framework and shows which level is most important for achieving the desired result. In this process, thoughts, feelings and behaviours can all change.

Perceptual positions

This process makes it easier to view situations from different perspectives, which increases understanding of how other people think and act in different situations. It also provides perspective on how you yourself think and act, with the opportunity to find new solutions and resources to break deadlocks. One result of this training is usually improved relationships.

One programme – four areas

All four areas described above are included in the same programme, which means that the programme takes just over half an hour to complete. However, the perception of time tends to change during deep relaxation, making half an hour feel like a couple of minutes and vice versa. A good tip is not to try too hard to listen actively. It's better to let the content sink in without thinking too much about it. It can even be good to relax so deeply that you don't even remember what was said after the programme.
