MENTAL TRAINING FOR SENIORS

 

This training programme contains five different programmes. The idea is that you train the first three in order (5-7 times per programme before moving on to the next). You can then train programme 4 for as long as you like, and use the last programme as needed.

 

PROGRAMME 1 – MUSCULAR RELAXATION

 

We often have unnecessary muscle tension, which takes energy and reduces our performance. It can also cause pain and other problems. With the help of this programme, you will reduce your basic tension and learn what true relaxation is.

 

PROGRAMME 2 – ”THE MENTAL SPACE”

 

In this programme, you will create an inner space that gives you inner peace, which will be with you in all circumstances of life. In this room or space, you will learn to rest effectively and to influence yourself through instructions, thoughts and images.

 

PROGRAMME 3 – SELF-CONFIDENCE TRAINING

 

A positive self-image is one of the most important parts of a good life. The programme provides you with self-empowering suggestions and images that increase your friendship with yourself and improve your relationships with those around you. It also helps you reduce stress in your life and create an attitude of positive thinking and optimism.

 

PROGRAMME 4 – THE POSITIVE SENIOR CITIZEN

 

The programme is designed to help you appreciate life as a senior citizen even more. Here you will have the opportunity to build meaning in your life and create a positive sense of identity as a senior citizen.

 

PROGRAMME 5 – REST AND SLEEP

 

You rest and recover both when you sleep and when you relax. In addition, it is easier to enjoy life before and after sleep than during sleep. Through this combination of relaxed and enjoyable rest and relaxed and effective sleep, your body and mind get the rest, recovery and energy you need to function and feel good.

 

 

 

MENTAL TRAINING FOR SENIORS

Mental Training works with lifelong learning and personal development that can also continue throughout life. Not least during the transition to senior age, when there is often a decline in quality of life factors such as a sense of purpose (being important and meaningful), identity (often linked to one's profession) and social network (colleagues disappear), it can be important to find tools to build a new life with good quality of life, where these important areas are compensated for.
