RELAXATION

Training programme for body and soul

This series of programmes provides a brief introduction to the first four steps of Mental Training. You should use each programme between 5 and 10 times before moving on to the next one. It does not matter what time of day you train, but try to train regularly. Make it a good habit.

The first two programmes aim to:

  • Learning effective relaxation techniques
  • Learning relaxed efficiency
  • Increasing feelings of calm and inner security
  • Creating an inner workplace (mental space)

The last two programmes aim to:

  • Boosting self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Programming future and control images
  • Gaining energy and motivation through goal setting

1. Muscular relaxation

This programme aims to lower your baseline tension. By relaxing your body more effectively, you release energy while increasing your performance capacity.

2. Mental relaxation

You will learn about an inner mental state (the mental space) where you can rest effectively and where you can more easily influence yourself.

3. Self-confidence training

Through confidence-building suggestions, your self-image will improve and become stronger. This creates a sense of inner calm and security.

4. Goal setting training

Before you get to programme 4, you should have ”decided” how you want your future to be. Create concrete images of how a day in the future will be different when you function better in your work and in your relationships and when you feel better. The images of these concrete future situations are entered in programme 4. This provides positive guidance, creates motivation and meaning, and increases your zest for life.
