Humour and joy
INTRODUCTION
Most people have always known that humour, laughter and joy help us to function better and feel better. It is only through recent research that this has been scientifically proven.
Laughter – ”inner jogging” – not only provides effective relaxation, it is also the ”shortest distance between two people” and the cheapest. Sometimes it is the very best medicine.
This humorous attitude gives me some much-needed distance from myself and my problems, which makes it easier to find creative solutions. Experiencing more satisfaction, harmony, and joy is a primary goal for most people.
Integrated mental training includes a fundamental philosophy that life is a ”do-it-yourself project” and that we ourselves largely determine our future and the type of person we will become.
Mental training involves systematic, regular and long-term training to realise this philosophy. In order to better use humour, laughter and joy for both personal development and problem solving, it is important to take the time to train in these areas as well. This training programme with five audio tracks is therefore available to help you.
PROGRAMME 1: PEACE AND JOY
The programme provides two posthypnotic suggestions (which take effect after ”waking up”) about calmness and joy. The intention is to maintain a pleasant and comfortable feeling of calmness and joy after the programme.
PROGRAMME 2: THE SPARKLE IN THE CORNER OF THE EYE
The programme deals with the humorous attitude. By learning to interpret ”reality” in a more humorous way, one can achieve a distance from oneself and from life, where negative feelings and reactions become increasingly rare.
PROGRAMME 3: HUMOUR AND CREATIVITY
The programme is based on the distance created by humour, but in this programme it is applied to problem solving. You will practise brainstorming, i.e. you will be encouraged to think freely and make associations.
PROGRAMME 4: INCREASED JOY
The programme is based on the same technique that athletes can use before competitions, i.e. in a relaxed state, ”capturing” positive feelings experienced previously and then connecting these feelings to the present and the future.
PROGRAMME 5: THE WORLD OF LAUGHTER
In the last programme, you have the opportunity to experience ”inner jogging”, i.e. the liberating feeling that comes from laughing heartily and for a long time, and the deep relaxation that follows. The effect can be enhanced by listening together with others. You can decide for yourself how many times you want to listen to each programme. However, keep in mind that our usual ways of thinking, feeling and acting have become automatic over many years. Therefore, you should expect that it may take a few months of regular training before you become a happier and more optimistic person who feels better.
